I find it easier convert 1/4s in decimals so first I would turn 3 1/4 into 3.25 and 1 3/4 into 1.75.
3.25-1.75 is 1.5
Convert back into a decimal and it is 1 1/2
So, Antonio spent an hour and a half more on driving then gardening.
